I have sublimated so much. I simply do not remember. My children move so fast, grow so fast, change so fast, that I haven;t the stamina to retain it all. I spend so much time living in the present.

You have given me a great deal to think about. But that is one of the (many) things I appreciate about being your friend.

It is a surprising thing being part of a family. I am awe struck every day.
Oh, and I think of the word "sublimate" a lot. A lot. From simple things like my ice cream cone to complex things like my feelings.

I jotted this down this morning. I had to empty my brain before heading into a meeting. Helps sometimes just to write it down. I have a journal I keep with snippets of impressions about each of my kids. Some day when they are grown maybe I will share this piece of me with them. That scene of my son running... that's in there. And, there is one of the way my daughters soft curly air felt against my chin as I held her as an infant.

Anyway. Thanks for giving me a nice place to share.

Wow. Rarely do I post things about me. I prefer the cover of fiction and imaginary characters. But sometimes I need to write something so I can empty my mind...
