I love this poem by Galway Kinnell.
It's been playing in my head all day.
I'm in love with words. Usually they are Marge Piercy's or Dorothy Parker's or Sylvia Plath... all quite different from this.

(...I can only have that awful cricket picture top my journal for so long... :)

When I was 19 or so and first read this poem, it was a view of my life that I hoped I would have.

I'm turning 39 this week, and have been with my husband for 20 years (married for 10). It's been on my mind because I realize that this is my life... with all it's sweetness and love and complexity.
