Chelsea you are 18, you are the only person that dictates weather you are "happy" or not. Put the past behind you and DO NOT drink your life away. Drinking socially is one thing, but it is ridiculous to drink because you feel bad about your life. I know life is tough, but just do what you can. Seriously what else can you do? Not change the past or what you have been given. If you wake up everyday feeling the way you do, then everyday will be that way guaranteed, it is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Depression and sadness are perpetual, the only way to break it is to make an effort to change. Be positive; think different. It isn't about what you have lost in life.

Im not drinking my life away, and i know that i am the only person who can make myself happy. its just really tough right now, i know/hope that things will eventually get better. i ussually always am possitive but i have my moments to where im not. i just feel like the whole family thinks down upon me because im not as smart or sweet or what ever else most out family is, cause i rebeled more that all the other grand kids you know. Im not going to give up i never do i just get real down about things you know.
God does not test you. As you and every other human is tested and rained on, he only begs for you to come to him so he can help you, wrap you in his arms, and enable you to correctly deal with the pain and evil that continues to break you down and test you day by day. God is there to provide for you the stregnth to deal with it, and deal with it right-- not to take it all away from you- whether it be pain, loss, or happiness. I know that without God, I rarely make the right decisions... they turn out to be decisions that earn me everything I usually don't want, and things that hurt me. In the presence of God, it is all okay
