During the first ever Odyssey my daughter was due to be born, so I missed it.

During the first PD Odyssey my cousin was getting married, so I missed it.

This time it appears my impending redundancy has scuppered me attending the June event.  And, the nebulous future employment situation has put the August Event rather in doubt too.

I was planning on crewing, but the problem was the cost of travel getting to the event. Money has become a lot tighter recently due to impending unemployedness. I did ask Matt if PD could help out - he said they could hopefully look to contribute something, but right now that doesn't help as I can't afford to get the train ticket in the first place. I understand the situation Matt's in regarding the travel expenses so I really can't blame him - after all, I don't have any special right to demand he pays my way for me. It happens that I will have a bit of cash come the weekend of the event, so I'm trying to find a lift given I'll be able to pay a bit towards petrol money at the event itself, but nothings come up yet.
