On not getting run over

Tuesday night I was walking home North through Oak Park, up Lombard from the Blue Line. On the left side of the intersection, I saw a black mid-sized SUV rolling and stopping because it wanted to turn right across my walk signal. If there's ever any doubt about who got to the intersection first (and it's not extremely busy) I'll let a car go,

She's right, Andrew. I mean, that would have been a perfect start to a romance novel. You know, in romance novels, the hero and heroine always hate each other in the beginning. I can't believe you didn't perceive the romance of the situation. :P
