We got hit pretty hard by the ice storm on Thursday night. Something like 250,000 lost power in Maine, including me, and I still don't have it. I fully expect to not get it back until at least Monday, so this morning I headed down to my parents' house in Mass for the weekend. Sure was cold sleeping last night!

You know your life is pathetic when the highlight of your day is finding out the grocery store has new shopping carts that don't rattle. Those suckers corner like they're on rails.

Happy birthday rittme! You're so lucky I remember it. It's such a forgettable one! :)

Here I am, shopping for an espresso machine whilst listening to Hatebreed. Today, I am an essay in contrast.

I'm going to Germany in a couple of weeks! Our parent company makes equivalent products to ours in a German plant, and there's always been some degree of cooperation between us in order to develop new products. I'm in sunny Camarillo, California! On business, unfortunately. Currently stuck in my hotel room waiting to find out when we can visit our customer. This is my first trip to the left side of the country (geographically, not politically).
