I did our taxes today! The government is paying us a fair chuck of money. Turns out there's a first-time home-buyer deduction of $7500! And we were already getting money back! We'll be able to pay our bills and debts! (Except of course the full mortgage...but house payments for sure.) I'm excited! Life is good

yay! that's super awesome. Just make sure you check up later on that 30-day trial if you don't end up wanting it...it may come back as just another pain in the ass payment, even if it is only about 10 a month :/

The credit is awesome, but did you also see that you have to pay it back every following tax year?

I think this year their handing out $8000 that you don't have to pay back, but the $7500 you do. I haven't looked too closely as I'm not in a place to buy a house.
