Oh, are they calling it "Snowmageddon" out there, too? It's ridiculous.

Dear People Making Up Retarded Names For Weather Systems:
Hi. You live in Canada! In Ontario, no less! Where there's humidity in the air! And it's sort of cold sometimes! Which makes it (gasp) fall! Sometimes a lot! IT WON'T KILL YOU, HONEST!

Every single year it's like we're amateurs at winter, all over again.

Dude, they were calling it that here in the paper yesterday, and today they're saying that the storm is just going to graze us (2-5 cm). Way to make yourselves look like morons, morons.

The last time they updated the (duh-duh-DUH) "WINTER STORM WARNING" was 0504h. Possibly they're scrambling around, trying to come up with a more accurate forecast.

I would just like to add: their call of 2-4cm per hour at some times today is officially right on. Bailey looked like a Mini Wheat when she came in and she was only out for two or three minutes!

I've just gotten back from driving halfway to work before making the call to turn around. I mean, there's being laid-back about it and then there's being too cocksure and possibly dumping in a ditch or causing an accident.

The Mister was so confident his truck would get him through back in the early 90s that he struck out from my parents' place, only to find once he got 15kms down the road to the lights at Lobo (and the cop stationed there) that the highway had been closed! He could have been charged, the doofus.

I can't see across the road at the moment, which doesn't bother me since I'm hunkered down with a coffee, an internet connection and two warm puppies sleeping on my feet.
