Stumbled upon this and wanted to offer some words of encouragement. I just did the same thing and just finished my first semester of college in a Vet Tech program. I worked an office job for 8 years, which I was really good at and which I absolutely hated. I shocked the crap out of everyone when I announced I was leaving to go back to school, but I couldn't imagine spending the rest of my life working an unfulfilling job. Most vet tech programs are only two years, so it's a small price to pay for ultimate happiness in your job.
