I finally got my Journey of the Childmen dvd, JUUUST in time before class starts on Thursday. Excellent! Well worth the money, and all the boys were amazing, hilarious, their conversations should be dipped in liquid gold and made into ornaments. And Mike, always my favourite. <3 ( Read more... )

Haha, as if I'd tear you apart. Yeah, fair enough about them signing up for it and all, and I do think celebs are kind of inviting the wolves in by being famous - but it's sort of... why IS it socially acceptable to do all this? Like yeah, they know what they're getting into, but why is that a trade off? As a society and as people, don't we have to sit back and go, well, I want to see them all the time, and acting like this makes them want to hide away, it's not really encouraging them to give us more. And I have no issue with people going crazy at fan orientated events - that's what they're there for, what everyone showed up for. It's when your behaviour would be considered harmful or really rude to the average person, like tackle hugging them in alleyways and almost injuring them in moshpits ( ... )

no i totally get that--why is it socially acceptable? why has the celeb obsession become an OBSESSION where we have to know everything about them all the time and track their lives? in the last few years it's gotten more invasive for sure. exactly-at events it's expected, i completely agree it's insane how people act when they encounter them just by chance ( ... )
