My "high water" point for income was 53K a year, but It was expected that I could get a phone call telling me to get on a plane with tools in one hand and a router card in the other with something like an hour's notice.
My last jobs have paid considerably less, but it's less stressful.
good luck with teeka's medical stuff. hope they're more helpful than when i was having issues... spent about $700 (+ the money the insurance picked up) to get "well, we really don't know what's wrong. so just try to avoid eating anything that upsets you, and if it gets worse, call back."
Oh, and if you ever see jesse and laura around, tell them i'm still alive and hope they are too.

HAhah! THAT'S a rant? You're so cute when you're trying to be forceful. ;)
And yes, your suggestions do make a lot of sense; Hopefully some campaign reform laws will get passed with the new congress, moving us that much closer to a system that works...
