Rain had been in the square, picking up a few things before heading home, when Sam appeared. Except he didn't really look like the Sam she'd seen before. And when suddenly he killed somebody - two somebodies - she could hear how wrong he was in her head too. His mind was all different.

She looked up at him confused and with pain screaming in her head. "Sam?"

Attention temporarily snapped from a man whose leg has been freshly broken by his foot, Lucifer looked at her and tilted his head. Sam found this one interesting, and in effect, so did he.

"Close, but no cigar." One more crunch as Lucifer shattered another fraction of the man's leg. Satisfied, he turned and walked in her direction. "I'll give you two more guesses, but after that, well. We'll see what kind of mood I'm in."

Rain's eyes went wide and she backed up slowly. "You're... You used to be an angel, but now you're not good anymore."

She couldn't imagine anywhere she could hide and she didn't know the Blue Lady's name to save herself - even if she happened to be here in this City.

"Oh, now that's just rude," he kept on his path towards her despite her retreating, an amused smile playing on his lips, "I'm still very much an angel. And as for being good?"

There was a flap of wings followed by a crack of thunder as he disappeared and reappeared right in front of her. "Well, that all depends on who you ask."

[ God's good grace - quite literally - has saved him from becoming human pulp stains against the sidewalk. But Fear is never enough of a warning for Ben, whose natural instinct is to rush into the fray, though there's little he can do offensively. As the pandemonium's died down, he remains still on the edges of the scene, lingering, seeing if there's something he can do to help.

He can't just walk away from this.

And that's how he finds Dean, on his search for living, breathing bodies. The man is barely conscious, obviously injured yet alive, if the rise and fall of his chest says anything. ]

[Dean has finally given up the ghost of fighting. Now he's just lying next to Sam. Dean has sort of had the idea all along that it'd be okay for Sam to be City!Dead if he was too. [ Ben figures that the man beside Dean is a stranger, at most a friend. 'Brother' doesn't even cross his mind. There's nothing he can do for Sam now, at least, nothing that wouldn't require too high a price.

With Dean's logic, choosing to die with his brother, maybe that price would be worth it. Good thing Ben wouldn't begin to consider it unless Dean asked it of him directly, completely of his own will.

Right now, it's damage control. ]
