:: The Real You
Describe your personality: I'm very smart, and I have drive and determination and will finish whatever is in front of me, no matter how tedious. However, on the negative side of this, I tend to space out easily; I can only focus on one thing to the exclusion of everything else, and if you tell me something while I'm working, I won't hear you or remember what you said. I'm a loner by nature and only have a few close friends- I'm friendly, but I just don't open up to people I don't know. That said, I'm a very helpful person and I get along with almost everyone; if someone is having trouble or needs help (or a place to stay- one of my friends crashed with me for a year because she didn't have anywhere else to go), I'm the one to go to. If I had to give myself a "Dungeons and Dragons" style alignment, I'd say neutral good.
What makes you happy? Art (I love making things), books, my cat, and my fiancé. Those are the only things I need to have a perfect, happy life. :)
What annoys you/makes you angry? People who don't respect animals or treat them like they're lesser things that can be mistreated and/or discarded, when people assume that I'm not intelligent because I tend to space out or say things without thinking, people who are narrow-minded or blindly follow without thinking for themselves.
What is the one thing you like the most about yourself? My intelligence (although it barely beats out creativity, lol).
What is your biggest personality flaw? When I lose my usual optimism and cheerfulness and become cynical or melancholic (it's like I'm only ever one extreme or the other).
:: The Lover
What do you look for in a significant other? A sense of humor, first of all; someone who can make me laugh when I'm feeling down, and banter with me when I'm in a good mood. Intelligence would be second; I need someone who can debate literature and history with me. Of course, being attractive helps, but personality means a lot to me.
Three major turn-ons? Sense of humor, intelligence, kindness
Three major turn-offs? Vulgarity, a blind follower (someone just like everyone else), self-obsession
Would you like him to be...
Optimistic or pessimistic? Optimistic (goes with my answer of "sense of humor" in what I look for)
Outgoing or shy? Doesn't have to be too outgoing, but more than I am, at least. I'm so withdrawn that I need someone to drag me out into the sunlight and away from my dusty old books.
Independent or Dependent? Independent.
Cautious or impulsive? Somewhere between.
Cold or Emotional? Emotional, definitely. I don't want someone who would be indifferent or afraid to show his feelings.
