I forget to share with y'all the good news! B5 came in the mail today! Season 3 woohoo! Too bad I've run out of room on my DVD shelf for it. Oh well. Less than two weeks before I go back to school, everything'll get moved around anyway.

So wait, do you have the first two seasons as well?

I never watched Babylon 5, but I admit that I'm curious.

I already have the first two. And they're coming to school with me! There's been a dearth of good television sci fi lately. I think the only one still on the air that I watch is Stargate. So I've been collecting Stargate and B5 on DVD. I have through Season 3 in both of them and Stargate S4 comes out in September. B5, while it was a little cheesy at the beginning, and the CGI now looks really fake, it was the first tv show to do a lot of work with CGI, so at the time, this was cutting edge stuff. The writing is generally excellent, the music is awesome (though, admittedly it does sometimes get cheesy and it has some electronic instrumentation) but best of all it has an actual story arc. Planned out over five years, each season is part of the arc: intro, rising action, climax, falling action, denoument. Epic battles, moral dilemmas, interesting aliens, humor... it's got it all. And JMS isn't afraid to kill off characters either. Very rare in the sci fi world where people who die don't seem to stay dead. Spock, Daniel... The list I'm ( ... )

Completely random but I found a site that had a few pairs of B5 dice. Narn and Midari (sp) I think. My memory's bad, especially at 5:30am.

I don't think they're anything too special. Just colored dice with the B5 logo on one side I think...Well, I guess the coolness factor is your decision. ^_^ You can find them at www.rpgshop.com. Look under novelty dice, I think.
