i'm so glad to hear ian and you both doing well. i wish i could come help you paint. i would settle for just getting to see you guys.
my folks are painting their living room a dark terra cotta color from sherwin williams. i thought i would hate it, but its actually nice. they are doing some copper faux finishing on one "focus" wall.
a medium chalky blue might be nice too.
i don't know though, hard to say without seeing your oak and dark green. anyway, keep us updated on how its going and take pictures when you're done!

We have a similarly open floorplan in our house - we're painting each wall a different color. All warm tones - a mustardy yellow, a terra-cotta-y red, a nice sage, and a darker-than-cornflower blue. Verrah southwestern.

sage and blue aren't warm tones! somebody needs to restudy his color wheel.
