ColorBox's pigment inks DO dry after a while, but only if you use a paper with no coating of any kind on it whatsoever. If your paper does have any kind of coating to it, it won't, but you can use Krylon's spray shellacs over the top of the ink and that will set it just fine. ( I asked about this back in January. :))

How long does it take? I tried it on plain printer paper and some cardstock, neither with a coating, and it still smeared quite a bit after almost four hours. :(

I usually leave mine overnight. :/ It does take a while, and I usually get impatient and shellac it, lol.

If there's a coating, though, it seriously never dries. O_x I left it ~2.5mos, no kidding, and it still smeared.

I don't know what you're working on, but maybe this will help: http://www.heroarts.com/learning/technique.cfm?techID=65&catID=2

What kind of paper are you stamping on? If your paper are not matte, it'll take longer. The other thing is how 'juicy' is your ink pad? If it won't dry, try doing 2nd generation stamping (that is stamping it on a scrap paper first and then stamp it on to your project).

To your original question(s): a, I'm confuse, because I have the exact same thing and when I first open it, it was juicy but dried fine. Which makes me think that your paper has something to do w/ that. Second, what type of project are you trying to do? A different type of ink might help.
