A good meal

Serena just ate a whole syringe of formula with no problems.

She barely had the strength to eat a quarter that much even this afternoon.

She's feeling much stronger already.

I'm so happy.

we are talking about getting a kitten this fall. Bouvier will no doubt freak. How are Godiva and Pikachu taking it?

They're alternating between sniffing her over very thoroughly to pretending she doesn't exist. We were hoping Godiva's mothering instincts might kick in, but so far no luck on that one. She even hissed at Serena yesterday when Derek held Serena out towards her once. Pikachu is faintly curious, but as long as he still gets attention too, he wouldn't care if we'd brought an elephant home.

I'm more and more thinking you're right. About keeping her, that is. I'm definitely glad she's not a water buffalo, although her presence in our lives already could scarecely be any larger if she were one.

But thanks for the image, though. I had a lot of fun images of Derek finding a water buffalo on his mail route. :-)
