i've been in kind of a rotten mood lately.... just this week, i think. for lots of reasons... partially because i was home for such a short time, and only got a little tiny taste of what the summer was going to be like, but it was only for like 3 days and then i had to come back here. then theres the issue of the major thing that is going on

haha it sucks that the magic doesn't disappear when you do. cmon kait i know you- i am you. if i'm not the center of attention it's not worth it. but the magic is there because you leave. because when a girl gets up on stage & with shining eyes and brilliant smiles admires the idea of becoming the next kendall or lindsay or megan or kaitlin hitchings, they gain confidence. and through a stupid pair of white gloves & a wired microphone they become beautiful. and there are the romances during vacation & the wild carrides & the tears & the fashion to keep up & little girls trying to grow up too fast. nothing changes you know. but who can blame them? who can blame you for missing it? but you still have us... you still have this summer & carol of the bells & too much taco bell. we'll make our own romances with boys who can't carry a tune (and probably would still get into cabaret), we'll throw our heads back & laugh, and we'll still try to grow up too fast. but it's magical because we've done it together... we get it & we get each other.

rings true for me too. And I feel like, even though it was hundreds of miles away, you and I went through very similar things in high school. And no, you can't go back. But you will find a way to move on. I am...again...in way, by going somewhere else next semester. I just feel like this combination of amazing past memories and future hopes make us lucky.

And we all need to go home. Period. It's time. And then you'll be ready to come back. I promise. Just hang in for a little while longer!
