my dear sweet Honeybee...

As some of you know, HoneyBee recently had a big adventure by escaping to the outside. I found her and she seemed fine. She was eating and pooing. Today my 17 month old grandson and I got home from his Drs appt and brought in dandelions for the bunnies and I found HoneyBee laying in her pen and knew right away she had passed over the rainbow bridge ( Read more... )

Oh Auntie Tina, we wasn't expecting this and know you weren't either.

You gave her love, a proper place to call home and she had a wonderful time with you enjoying the best of everything. You restored her faith and let her be a bun. She was a lucky girlie.

Much love to you, Liam, Sweetpea and Star. xxxxx

Thank you...though you made me tear up again. I looked through her pictures, including when I first got her. She was a delight from the moment she came home with me. I think she knew immediately her life was going to improve. Not that it would take much where she came from. And I've always been grateful for the support I got by everyone here when it came to deciding to get her. Everybun here at the time had a hand in *rescuing* her. :)

thank you. It does help knowing that she lived much longer (and happier) then the place I found her.

We are all shocked here and our mummy has leaking eyes :(
We know how special she was to you and we all thank you for giving her a wonderful life, full of love, fun and laughter (and nice salads) - she will take that love with her spread it around those who were not lucky enough to be found by someone as wonderful as you.
Run free darling girl - always loved and never forgotten - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

While all my bunnies are loved, there was something extra special about HoneyBee I think because she was a single bun. She was growing a special relationship with my little 17 month grandson. She liked to do things to get him upset. Like get in his tent and sit right in the middle and wait for him to notice...he'd *yell* at her, pointing. Recently she stole his cookies he hadn't eaten LOL And he already loved her and would *call* her..though you couldn't understand what he was saying. She was so full of herself and I think she had quite a sense of humor. I will miss the look on peoples faces that don't see her coming, only feel her insistent nudge when she comes out of hiding to check them out! she built a lot of good memories in my house!
