Yes. I have seen videos on youtube of speak n spell circuit bending. It is awesome. I have two speak n spells. One works and the other one does not. It has mold/water damage inside it.

What is Speak & Spell Circuit Bending? I'm certain I'm going to adore the answer this one.

Also, A HUNDRED AND TWENTY DOLLARS????????

I got it for 2$ at a goodwill clearance outlet. =) Back then, it was state of art learning toy. Obviously people paid some good $$ for it and then 25 years later, two dollars. I like it. My bf and I have other products from Texas Instruments learning series like the speak n spell and speak n music. All bought at thrift stores. They all work too. I love vintage electronics and other items that were made to last forever.
