You like it, you eat it.

How's this for a habit: Almost every single weekday for the past three years, I have eaten a peanut butter & jelly sandwich for lunch at work. Ambrosia, I tell you. Nectar of the gods, assembled the night before, refrigerated until morning, then warmed to room temperature by lunchtime. I will stop eating them when they stop being so damned ( Read more... )

I have yet to have a peanut butter sandwich make it past 10am.

They have it coming to them.

I used to get meat & cheese from the deli for sandwiches. But then, one day, halfway through a sandwich, I had finally had enough, and quit. Cold turkey even (or maybe cold ham! ha ha ha! :P). The next day was PB&J, and I never looked back. I can't imagine ever getting tired of them, but I'm afraid one day I will and the honeymoon will be over. I wouldn't even know where to turn next.

Dude, I can't listen to any of that crap. There are people out there who will swear that distilled water is bad for you. Anything can be bad for you, if taken to excess; it's just that "excess" has a different definition for different things. If you compare, say, the aforementioned distilled water to, oh, I don't know... crack cocaine (a skewed example, yes, but bear with me), similar doses will yield vastly different long-term effects. However, those same deleterious (I hope I'm using that right) effects can become inconsequential if the intake is controlled. That's the difference between a casual drinker and an alcoholic.

So, I eat what I want, I just try to pay attention when I do, so as to preserve to some degree that little balance that I call my diet.

I eat mostly what I want. Luckily, what I want isn't McDonalds or equivalent. Usually, what I want is pie. My fridge is currently rockin' a fantastic strawberry & rhubarb specimen. Mmmm.

But still, I read too much for my own good and the internet gremlins get inside my head and I end up crazy! Nuts, I tell you. 'Cause you are what you eat, and I have a pile of almonds and cashews here that speaks the truth.
