This man walked through the crowd of Obama/Healthcare/Tax/Socialism/(I'm not sure exactly what) protesters with a sign reading "Public Option Now." By the middle of the video many police officers are escorting him through the crowd so he doesn't get torn to pieces

I don't understand what the point of chanting "No Public Option!" at him is....

are they trying to change his mind?

you could ask the same question about him carrying the sign in the middle of all those people.

well..the way I see it, the signs are about identifying your affiliations. They should be a stepping stone to calm, political discourse.

I'd be much happier if this led to a one on one debate between some representative of the "no public option" side and the "public option now!" guy.

The chanting, as far as I can tell, contributes nothing at all. They're trying to beat down his point of view through sheer numbers and intimidation. I respect that he didn't crumble under the pressure

wow. I still don't get why people are so opposed to nationally accessible healthcare that doesn't have millionaire CEO's who make their money by turning down medical procedures that can save their clients' lives. I guess it has to do with Obama being a communist/socialist homosexual who wants to take away our freedoms or something like that.
