For the last two years, maybe even three, I have gotten together with my Pixie Girl to write. We have a half a dozen stories in progress (which is common for most writers) that we work on once a week. As I've said before, Independence Day equates to amateurs with deadly projectiles. And yes, this makes me very, very nervous. With the threat of damage to my person, my house or my loved ones, I'm not really a fan of fireworks. To top it off I'm not partial to the sound of fireworks either. Mom, thanks for letting me dye my hair outrageous colors.
My Mom was here for a full week! It was glorious. Even if we sat around watching movies most of the time. And went shopping. Lots of shopping.
As for the movies, I finally got to see the new Star Trek and I loved it! The interaction between Bones and Kirk was priceless. It just had me rolling on the floor laughing. Must watch it again soon ( Read more... ) -

Vegas wanderings
