Captain's Log; Star Date 2258.58 [Voice]

Jun 29, 2009 23:38

Something... affecting my speech... can't seem to... talk normal. Having to... force every word. Making things... disjointed and hesitant.

Can't seem to... shake the difficulty.

[ooc: Kirk is affected. His Kryptonite? Women. The effect? Making it difficult to talk. Ala Shanter!Kirk. Sorry, couldn't resist.]

If it's an injury, I might be able to heal it.

I might... take you up on that... though it's probably... a curse.

The speech problem Kirk was having was annoying, but in the end it wasn't really all that crippling or affect him in any great way. And it definitely wouldn't hamper his fight with Shalimar at all. Really, the whole fight would be over in a matter of minutes, one way or another.

When he got to her place he pushed the door open. It was a sparse apartment, but that didn't really surprise him.

"Shalimar, are you... home and ready to... get your ass kicked?" he asked, wincing at how difficult it was to get the words out.

Any weakness? Numbness? Trembling? Are you forming the words okay or is your jaw stiff?

Nothing like that... the words are... forming fine... in my head. Just when I... try to speak them... they don't want to... come out.

Could be verbal apraxia, or conduction aphasia. I don't see anybody else stumbling over their words today.
