I'm sad it's finished! I'm also know that Daniel is a far better person than I could ever be because I'm sure I'd never forgive the Furlings for inflicting one of my worst fears on me - being Goa'ulded or making me almost nigh immortal without my consent! I can't think of a worse form of torture to inflict on anyone, to watch as everyone you love age and die and know that the cycle will repeat indefinitely.

Loved the story couldn't wait for each episode to appear your characterizations were wonderful. Do you see Daniel ending as a fuling rather than staying with the Taur'i?

I see Daniel as a citizen of the universe, born human, but weighing each race's merits on their own. I think he'll spend time with the humans on Alpha, travel some with the Furlings, visit many of the transplanted human cultures on other worlds and look forward to meeting new alien races -- seeing what's out there, and giving everybody an equal chance. Those who welcome him as a friend will be treated as friends. Those who treat him as an enemy... well, woe unto them. Heh. He'll definitely keep coming back to Alpha, because that's the closest thing he has to a home, but as the people he knows begin to disappear, he'll gradually lose his ties to the colony, and will truly belong "out there."

That's where he ought to be, teaching others and writing the complete story of human history, for all of us.

So sayeth me.

This has been an incredible journey, I've been reading week by week but will be reading again, from start to finish. As others have already said, any chance of a sequel? I love the back story you created for the Furlings.

I never know where my Muse (who looks an awful lot like Daniel) will take me, but there's nothing planned at this time. That doesn't mean I won't be *writing*, so keep an eye out for more stories. Something's always in the works! Thanks, Hellen.

I've greatly enjoyed reading this fic. I like how you've used the Furlings and why they were never found by the SGC. Daniel's journey evolved as a lovely extension of his personality. I especially like that he never compromises who he is or what he wishes to do. The destruction of Earth was well-handled. I like how it served as the reason for Daniel's pursuit of knowledge, etc... but it wasn't something that took over the whole fic.
