In the year I've been here, I've never had something like these pains and bouts of insomnia last this long. It's really making me wonder if there's something going on that's bigger than a curse. Aside from that time people had memory lapses a few months ago, every other time something weird like this has happened, it's been because of something ( Read more... )

Young Master, do you think there may be something else happening? [Also, he's concerned about Tyr's mention of pains--he doesn't remember ever hearing anything about that.]

[Although Gremio isn't likely to relax until he believes Tyr is feeling better. He would have been willing to leave it to Tyr if his master had insisted, but naturally he's quick to take up that offer.]

Ah, yes--I'll take care of it for you.

...That was a terrible wound at the time, Young Master. Are you certain you're all right? How badly is it affecting you?

[ Tyr should have expected that Gremio would. At least with Gremio, though, the only awkwardness is in showing him the injury again. Standing up, Tyr rolls up one leg. Thank goodness for baggy trousers and chicken legs. ]

I'm sure; it's not infected or reopening. It's just...an ache that won't go away. If anything's wrong, it's probably with my head. [ Which might have been harsher than necessary, but Tyr wasn't really thinking of it. The scar it left was healed. And looks like a magical scar. Yes. ]

[He moves close with the ointment, at least relieved that there are no signs of infections of open wounds. He remembers well how it looked when Tyr first came home with it...]

I don't believe it's in your head, Young Master. It may be yet another strange event related to the insomnia that Katara and Luc are experiencing. [Gently, he begins applying the salve to the affected area with the magical scar.]

[ seriously what do magic wounds even look like. Tyr nods and holds still, keeping the fabric up with his hands. ]

Maybe... This has never happened before I got here, so that's the most likely reason...

[Only Cleo knows!]

Y-yes, most likely...And it's not just you, Young Master, so I'm certain it's real. [He says it without really thinking, concentrating on just massaging the ointment into Tyr's skin until he's satisfied that he's done what he can for now.]

There--it may take some time to take effect, but...Do you notice any difference yet?

[ Cleo, so experienced! ]

... It just feels cooler there right now... [ He drops the fabric and lets himself sit down again.

But he's more curious about Gremio's other point. He hadn't heard of anyone else experiencing pains. ] But who else is having pains?

[And so calm! They need her. Gremio silently hopes that the ointment will help, though he's distracted by Tyr's question.]

Ah, well--I haven't heard of anyone else experiencing it, but- [He doesn't want to make Tyr worry, but he wouldn't lie, either.] It's nothing to concern yourself with, but I've felt it for some time now.

[ Yes! :< Cleooooo

But it does make Tyr concerned, and the look on his face says as much. He stands up again. ] Gremio-- Where have you been experiencing it? Do you need me to apply the ointment for you, too?

[Cleo is amazing~ ;3;

Gremio waves his hands in a placating gesture--after his fingers brush the scar on his cheek again.] P-please don't worry, Young Master--I assure you that it isn't serious!

[ Big sis~!

Tyr gives Gremio a look and takes one of Gremio's hands with his. ] You can't tell me that now. [ He looks past Gremio's eyes to the scar now. Did it look any different? Tyr didn't think so... ] If it's hurting you, let me take care of it...

[The best big sister-!

He looks at Tyr, clearly touched--and even if Gremio doesn't think it serious, if it will help Tyr--he nods with a slight fond smile.] Young Master...Thank you.

[ Tyr doesn't think Gremio should take something lightly if he's not going to let Tyr do the same. He smiles back at Gremio, though, just a bit. ]

You need to sit down for me, though... [ Your master isn't very tall, Gremio. ]

[...Yes, he'll always be Gremio's little master~]

Ah--yes, of course. [And he takes a seat on Tyr's bed to make it easier.]

[ Even if he's not so young now...! ]

Thanks... [ There, now Tyr is just a little above him. He takes the ointment then and dips a few fingers in. ] ...It's your scar, right?

[He nods and manages a slight smile to try and reassure Tyr--it really isn't that bad--but his eyes keep straying to Tyr's leg, betraying his own worry.] That's correct. It hasn't been a bother, really...I wouldn't have minded dealing with it.

[After all, he received it saving Tyr. A little pain is insignificant next to his charge's life.]
