We love people, in many cases, despite their flaws. In fact, their flaws make them MORE lovable to us. They do things that we don't like or don't agree with, but we know that they mean well. What happens when you'd do anything to fix a situation and make someone feel better and happy and good again, like they should, but you absolutely and completely can do nothing to fix things for them? You just have to watch them hurt and learn things that no one should and you can do nothing at all to ease the pain.
