So, I'm back from Austin. I was there from Wednesday-Saturday last week. I had such a good time! Unfortunately I now have a cold, but it gives me some time to recap and post photos.
How long are you going to be in NYC this time? Are you going to be back by the 21st? There's a show I was wondering if you'd want to go to ... it's Mike Patton's band Peeping Tom at the Wonder Ballroom. Let me know if you'll be around and are interested in going ... I'll check into the tickets or see if we could get on the list or something.
I'm leaving on the evening of the 4th, and will be back on the evening of the 9th. I'll definitely be back by the 21st, and I would be interested in seeing Peeping Tom. :)
I'd definitely love to do brunch/lunch once I'm back from NYC. I've been finding out about more possibly interesting food places. Plus, with the weather becoming warmer, it's fun to do brunch.
I actually have thought about moving there! But I don't really like the weather, and I'd hate having to find a new job and all that ... so I probably won't. It's a great place though!
I'm a bit in awe, I must say! The servings of food (especially that breakfast taco - I didn't even know you could buy breakfast tacos, lol!) are absolutely enormous! I don't think I could even eat half!
Your friend's house is absolutely gorgeous - that looks like a fabulous kitchen. Cupcakes... delicious. I'm an enormous sweet tooth, so keep those well away from me ;).
Being an Aussie, I'm utterly clueless when it comes to capital cities in the US, but I do know Austin's the Texan capital, it looks like a wonderful place to visit. And of course, great to see some snaps of you. (and Jeeves and Wooster - best way to cap off a trip.) All the best!
Lol, breakfast tacos are an Austin specialty (from what I hear), so I'm not surprised you haven't heard of them. I was familiar with breakfast burritos but not breakfast tacos. It was a ton of food ... I definitely didn't finish it all. But it was good!
Thanks for looking at the pics ... I would love to see/hear more about Australia too! Where in Aus. do you live exactly? Is it Melbourne? I have a friend from there but I've never been there. I would love to visit there.
It has something to do with the fact that Austin is the "city of music." I don't know if that's the exact phrase, but music is their claim to fame, with the SxSW festival and all the support for independent artists, etc.
