:3 It's very sweet, especially the last line. I really like the line 'a distant cry for her in the middle of the quiet night.' because he's calling to her, trying to reach out. The other bit, 'brindled feelings', I liked it! :D

Um. This part? 'then making sure the frame in his bag stayed in place.', a tiny sp. mistake, should be 'made sure', and what the frame? :S
