Sam, my graduate student partner for my robotics project said two profound things of late:

and in regard to women:

It is almost 7am and I have not slept. It is only the third week of the quarter. Between working at Cisco, building a robot/spending 8+ hours per day in a lab, and doing math out my ears related to my sensors class, engineering has completely consumed my life. in a week i should get about a $2000 paycheck, which is much needed seeing as my bank account barely has $300 currently and I want my car to slap. time to go back to studying for electrical engineering 171, a.k.a the hardest shit ever that I stupidly decided to take over summer while working full time. oh well, at least its somewhat manageable ( Read more... )

being able to provide a great life for my parents when they are way old would, years from now, be one of my greatest accomplishments.

i landed an internship working for cisco systems and the ucsc school of engineering at a research lab. included is a laptop, $12/hour, funding for the entirety of grad school if i continue for awhile with the lab, and 5 units of independent study credit per quarter. bomb.

seeing the jacka last night kinda changed my life musically. i cannot remember the last time i saw someone so passionate about their music as that, and i am glad that statement is in regard to the artist who refers to himself as "the islamic rambo." that show was pure genius in every way, and i wasn't even thizzing.

it has been less than 24 hours since really meeting this girl and things have developed fast. im not about to make myself vulnerable, but i've got to admit this is refreshing. the fact she is three years older than me only helps that.

there has been so much going on lately that beginning to sum it all up when i have mere hours to unpack my shit/pack some stuff to go back to hayward would be futile. i just woke up, and last night i had a dream about you. that was the first in a long time and i really dont know how to feel about it. i suppose somewhere around the realm of sad ( Read more... )
