I realize how much I can't compete with them.

I'm still going for it.

What the heck are you supposed to do when an unexpected occurance occurs? Shock to the system, shut down, mind plays your fakish cool side, smile corners tremble nonstop, you're stuck in a space of time without end, close to losing will and yet letting it happen. What do you do then when they are just as coy and probably more serious in some ways?

Looking back, I have just realized how much my writing sucks. It started out ok, then it just slid until it hit its current position. There's sky, then grass, 50ft of dirt below that, 60tons of crap below that, my writing, and then me. "Something's gotta give."
