My dear sweetheart passed away this morning, peacefully, surrounded by family.  She donated her corneas, as they were usable even despite cancer.

Open house all weekend; now the house is filled wtih food, fun, and laughter.  She would be proud.

my condolences, sunlion, to you and your family... i'm very glad to have met and hung out with the both of you. i always think back, with fondness, to the bluegrass festival. she was an awesome lady, for sure! if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask. be well, my friend.

Thank you very much. For the last few days, our new home has been filled with good people, laughter, children playing, kittens being carried, food cooking, and old friendships renewed. It's been really sweet.

When I miss her- which is often- I remind myself that she would want me to stand tall on my own. I spent hours today taking care of personal business, the arrangements for cremation, sorting out medical bills/EOBs. Lionheart's been great at keeping things festive here. Dewshyne has worked very hard to notify her mom's many online friends, also grabbing any important files from her PC that need to be preserved or put up on a web site. She found a really nice email Star had sent to her once, just praising her for being a good daughter and good person. She sure is!

I'm exhausted now, heading to bed soon, and I might even wander into a Unitarian church tomorrow to see what that's like.
