Two of my LJ friends -- who, oddly enough, I know in person and who know each other in person -- were musing in recent entries on how long they have been doing this (LJ) and how many entries and/or long-time friends they have. Both made for short, interesting reads. I truly had never really thought to look at my user profile and see just how many ( Read more... )

Here, here. I don't know what I would've done without LJ in my mid to late teen years and then middle 20's to now. It's more than just a place to write down thoughts, frustrations, fears, successes but it has also become a place where you create strong bonds/friendships with people you possibly would never meet!!

If I ever make it up to Portland, you and Sarah are on my list. :)

My LJ friends have become such a huge part of my life over the years, even if I don't know many of them in real life. They are a huge source of support and I think that's the biggest role that LJ plays in my life, outside of letting me have a place to openly vent.

A lot of times, I honestly feel like I know my LJ friends better than some of my IRL friends....and that my LJ friends often know me better since they get to hear so many things that I don't talk about regularly to other people. I really value LJ and the people I've becomes friends with on here so much!

Sometimes I write something and still await his comments. That feeling doesn't make me half as sad as it sounds, though.

Me too.

I think that is really cool to go back and reflect on that J. I think is in amazing what we really get out of journal and being a part of other lives and letting other be a part of yours as well.

I would never have imagined how much of myself I would share when I first started LJ either, when I read back over my old entries I am alot more reserved than I am now.

If I ever get to Portland I would definitely be looking you and Sarah up :)
