(My play on time- not won)
This is not poetry.
My callouses suggest these stepping stones.
There is a storm in my heart beating inside me
And I swim through it, myself mercurial.
When I open my eyes to the sun, petals of me unfold
(although I would not say I bloom; the roses I know are dusty, all).
