"I cut my gaze to the right to see what new companion I had. Eric. Oh, great."

I've been so busy this week! And literally all the free time that I had was spent working on this picspam, haha. I feel so behind on the internets.

I have so many other things to update about(I STOOD ON THE GRAND STAIRCASE OF THE MOTHERFUCKING TITANIC LAST WEEKEND...a recreation, but still!), but I'll leave that for tomorrow. For now...

Eric is so right about Bill. He is totally irrational. Remember last season when he walked into the sun to save Sookie from Renee? That was totally helpful.
*rolls eyes*

Oh, man, I know. In the episode before this one when Lorena's keeping Bill hostage, Bill's all "We need to rest!" when the sun starts coming up, and Lorena's like "Why, so you can escape into the sun and kill yourself trying to save Sookie?" And Bill's like "No, of course not, I'm not suicidal!" And it's like... uh, Bill? That's EXACTLY what you did with Renee. Bill is totally a fail at helping in these situations.

I think Eric just saw calling Lorena as an opportunity to stir the pot because he knew about Bill/Lorena's history. I think he does things like that in the books too. Grabbing opportunities as they arise, I mean.
It's not like he thought out this devious plot and made Lorena do anything besides talk to Bill.I agree, and I think it was also because of what Eric said about Bill being irrational. He knew having Lorena around would keep Bill ( ... )

Yea, I mean Lorena (and Bill) knew that wanting Bill/Sookie to breakup was Eric's objective, but he didn't like specifically plot out an evil scheme to make it happen. He knew that Lorena was a weakness of Bill's and frankly, Sookie's probably should be made aware of that at some point. Eric saw the opportunity to shine a light on one of the possible problems in their relationship.

haha I have no idea why Bill didn't just flat out tell Sookie exactly what happened. None of that was really his fault.
I know that's partly why Sookie was being bitchy to Eric, because she did think he kidnapped Bill. But still...

MY BRAIN IS GOING TO EXPLODE ON SUNDAY WITH THE NEXT EP LOOKING AWESOME AND MAD MEN ON TOP OF IT!

First: These are just so awesome! Thanks for taking the time to do them!

Second: And aw, Eric doesn't understand love. I think it scares him, TBH.
THIS! Much of the reactions I've heard about this seen from many people are that this scene is an example of Deadpan!Eric. I don't agree. I think that was a perfectly serious statement on his part. Quite telling.

Poor kid, he already caught feelings.

You! It was you! I was responding to some very nice feedback over in the True Blood fic community and referred to this phrase while supporting my choices for the direction of the ficlet. I couldn't remember where I had read it. I feel better now. :)

If you consider the fact that he's been around for over a thousand years and has NEVER been in love (Pam said as much in the books) that's really telling. That's just a heck of a long time to not really let anyone in. It might not just scare him, it's probably one of his biggest fears.
I really think Eric has serious control issues. And falling in love is the easiest way to lose control, even lose control of yourself.

ooo I'd love to read your ficlet! Could you link me?

I actually got the "caught feelings" thing from Barney on How I Met Your Mother. He's kind of an anti-love character as well and he fell in love (much to his chagrin) last season and went on this whole rant to his friend about how he "caught feelings" and hates it. lol
If you haven't seen the show you should definitely check it out! It's my favorite.

*facepalm* Must not comment late at night. Aside from the other ways I butchered this sentence; hi my name's Melissa and I understand homophones. :P

You aren't wrong, but phrased this way, with the exception of the thousand year old part, this sounds significantly like my ex (even so far as the name, I'm sad that I just can't get a "Team Eric" shirt)!!! Let's ignore the idea that I might have an unhealthy type for the moment....it's ok, though, because vampire Eric will get over it, my ex ( ... )

I DID! I DID!

And remember when I said it would be too early for Eric/Sookie? Well, that's definitely still true but it's NEVER TOO EARLY FOR A REALLY LONG SEX DREAM SEQUENCE!

Apparently they have a real "moment" which happens exactly like in the book (and may include their first kiss) and then later on in the episode....LOL SOOKIE HAS A SEX DREAM ABOUT HIM! AN HBO SEX DREAM!

Someone who's apparently seen the episode said the dream scene was lengthy and VERY NAKED (har har, double meaning on lengthy).

Plus, ASkars spoke in an interview about how they tried to make him wear some kind of covering during his nude scene this season and he's was like "plz, I'm Swedish, can't I just be naked? Anna won't mind!" LOL
