AH, THESE RECAPS MAKE ME SO HAPPY. I had so many feelings about this episode. Mostly about the things that you touched on, like Lafayette confessing to the sex dreams and the scene with Eric and Bill outside the Queen's. I think it's interesting that by confirming what the result of Eric's blood was for any drinker, it somewhat belittles what little groundwork they'd already laid for Eric/Sookie. I assumed that the dreams were the show's way of introducing Eric/Sookie as show canon and demonstrate Eric's increasing presence in Sookie's thoughts, but maybe they'll go in a different direction now that we know Lafayette is having Eric dreams too. Surely they'd have to. As much as I like the dreams, I'd like some Eric and Sookie interaction in which they are both awake.
How does Eric know this though? Did he just assume that the only way someone would voluntarily date Bill is because they had some of his blood? LOL BURN I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY HOPE THIS IS TRUE.
it somewhat belittles what little groundwork they'd already laid for Eric/Sookie It does in a way. But it also belittles Bill/Sookie the exact same amount since as Eric said, Sookie drank about a gallon of Bill's blood the first night she met him. So, lol I have no idea what they're doing with this.
There's nothing that can belittle Eric defending Sookie at the fellowship or Sookie being there for Eric when Godric died though.
I'd like some Eric and Sookie interaction in which they are both awake. Yes! Their relationship has been so altered (both physically and emotionally) I've been dying for this since 2.09! I hope they at least have a tiny scene together in the finale to hold us over.

Yeah, it totally does. I hope that this means they'll start to develop Eric/Sookie in a new way. Like you said, with Eric defending Sookie at the Fellowship, and with Sookie being there for Eric when Godric died, they've already established something really special there, so I hope that this is the kind of thing they keep developing.
I hope they at least have a tiny scene together in the finale to hold us over. Me too! Not to sound like an optimistic shipper or anything, but I really do think they will. I think they'll leave us a little Eric/Sookie to stew over until next season.
Once again, amazing picspam. This was in no way a good episode in my opinion but I love how you make the awesome parts even more awesome. You also point out stuff that I didn't take note of when I watched the episode.
There is so much to say but I'll just focus on Bill and Eric. I am so happy that you pointed out that Bill was totally unfazed by Hadley being there and the Queen wanting to see Sookie. Eric pointing out that Bill gave Sookie his blood the first night they had met. Vampires don't offer there blood to just anyone, why would Bill force some flighty waitress his blood. Eric probably thinks that Bill is full of shit when he plays dumb about not knowing what Sookie was. I don't think that Eric is keeping anything from the queen. As we all know he doesn't stay away from Sookie.
Allan Ball may have painted Eric as the bad guy but I think TB views will start to pick up on the shady side of Bill Compton very soon. You were right in the was you justified Eric's treatment of Lafayette.
Eric probably thinks that Bill is full of shit when he plays dumb about not knowing what Sookie was. You think? I'm not sure. I don't think Eric wants to imagine the possibility that Bill was ever doing any under-handed business without his knowledge. I mean, he's the sheriff, he feels like he has a right to know all of the goings-on in vampire politics in his area.
So I don't think he suspects anything in that regard...yet. I think he's just thinking that Bill wanted Sookie for himself and used his blood to force an attraction, just like what Bill is accusing Eric of doing.
With that said, I feel pretty certain that Eric will suspect that there's a deeper layer to all of this after he talks to The Queen.
I just love your Eric posts and the perspective you bring to his actions. I think Sookie needs to read these. ;) You organize it the way I re-watch the episodes: Eric-centric.
He is so so sexy in the most wrong and ridiculous and wonderful ways in this episode. ...in Lettie Mae's shirt and bangles ...with sex disheveled hair ...when talking about children being delicious ...AND when he is NOT IN THE SCENE!!
I think Sookie needs to read these. ;) IF ONLY SOOKIE AND I COULD HAVE COFFEE FOR AN HOUR! She would get a speeding ticket on her way to Fangtasia afterward. haha
lol his flying hair did actually look a bit like his sex hair in 2.09 actually. I like when his hair falls a bit more loosely like that.
Thank you for talking up the blood exchange in the books versus the show. They really need to get that shit sorted out on the show because it's so damn confusing and thank god Eric said something to Bill about giving Sookie blood, too.
Your recaps are so on point. Love, love, love them.
It really is. I think it's fine if they want to make their own rules about blood exchanges because the show and the books are a little different, they can make that their own if they want. But...lol I still want it to make sense!

Well yeah exactly. I don't mind so much if they change things from book to show but it would be nice if they could be consistent. I mean I get it, Eric's blood is so much stronger and hotter lol.

And yes, this is so adorable that this many caps of him fussing with his "flying" hair ARE IN FACT NEEDED! DO NOT QUESTION THIS!
The wind-blown look agrees with him SO much...
Thanks for making my day!!
