The most common symptoms of mono are:
1. Fever, which may range from 101 °F(38.3 °C) to 104 °F(40 °C), and chills.
2. Sore throat, often with white patches on the tonsils (which may resemble strep throat).
3. Swollen lymph nodes all over the body, especially the lymph nodes in the neck.
4. Swollen tonsils.
5. Headache or body aches.
6. A lack of energy and fatigue.
7. Loss of appetite.
8. Pain in the upper left part of the abdomen, which may indicate that the spleen has become enlarged.
I didn't have all of these symptoms when I got it, and I had a severe case. My throat swelled so much that I couldn't eat chicken noodle soup becuase the noodles would get caught in the back of my throat. :-(
It was fun to catch though... ;-)

but i'm glad you don't have strep, because it sucks.
and i found it really funny that you bought a bag of sharp, pointy snack mix as well as stuff to soothe your sore throat...
and damn these allergies!! i'm recovered from my stomach nastiness, but damn it if my allergies didn't kick in this morning and make me look all sick again.
i'm never going to get a valentine at this rate. ;)
