Easter Wells

These pictures are a month old, but I thought I'd post them anyway. Just got them off Dad's digital camera from when I was home for Easter. They're of Easter wells, where people decorate the town's well or spring or whatever with greenery, painted Easter eggs, and other Eastery goodness. They're really cute. I've never heard of Easter wells. I guess it's cause I don't get out much and Oberwerrn didn't have one. I don't remember from when I lived in the North, either.

They're a southern thing. They get bigger and more elaborate if you go east and a bit south, like the area between Bamberg and Nuernburg.
