Right there with you. The comm can be fun but for the most part, to be honest, I find it and most of it's members obnoxious.

I mean I love a lot of the gifs and jokes that come out of it, but most of the time it's the flailing about things that are like sort of almost related to Star Trek or walking posts which creep me out.

Don't know what the fuss is about either. I'm guessing the whole 'makes women feel liberated' card cause she's just as "open" as Kirk. Female version of Kirk in a sense.

Is there a feud with them?I saw a ST tweet saying Takei suggested they end the feud on Stern. What was the feud about?

Takei didn't invite Shatner to his wedding because he thought he was a douchebag on the show. Shatner rationalised this by saying Takei obviously has a psychosis.

About Genderbending in Secret 23:

When people feel an afinity with a character, their gender shouldn't really matter. Instead, I think it says something that the characterization is so powerful that it goes across the lines of sexuality and gender identity. I consider it a testament to the inspiration the characters provide, as opposed to a perversion of it.
