So then, first night in the new flat on Friday. Got back from Kate's exhibition, only to find that some fucker had broken in and stolen a laptop, digital camera, sky digibox, N64 and several DVDs. I had not even spent ONE NIGHT there. The police came, dusted for prints and left. I don't expect to get any of our things back.

Last week I recorded a lesbian love ballad for Regan's album at his (rather brilliant) house in Fenham. He squired me around town for most of the week and made sure I was constantly wrecked.

Spending time with Regan is bad for my health. But he's class.

This week has been mostly about food poisoning and emptying the entire contents of my stomach. Taking time off work is not good when you have but £3.94 to your name. Oof. But also, it's been about 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' (ooh it's good!) and sheer excitement at the prospect of the film of 'The Dark is Rising'.

I have spent the past week in Gav's hometown, which is a beautiful little country village in Lancashire. I now understand why he doesn't consider Cleadon to be a "proper village". His house is brilliant - his dad is always painting, his mam is always cooking and everybody is always drinking red wine and brandy.

Nouvelle Vague were so unbelievably good on Thursday. Completely brilliant, I bloody love those girls - they remind me of caricatures of me and Nadine, haha. But yes, they were class, everyone loved it, then we walked home and took some pictures in the nice light by the Robinson library.

Kyle's birthday BBQ yesterday was marvelous. Fun time to the max; it's all about Laser Quasar in your back garden. And it was a brilliant photo day, the light was amazing.
