So today I had the opportunity to sub for a high school math class that had a student teacher. This, of course, lead to some thoughtful musings as someone who was recently a student teacher, and had a few mixed experiences when a sub was in the classroom as opposed to my co-op.

So much for being one of the more liberal, open minded states? I hope this will inspire some people to have words with their senators.

Hello 2010. 2009 was a pretty interesting year for me, so I hope you'll follow suit.

I'll try and do a reflection post soon, but I just got back from MD, and tomorrow I'm off to see some wonderful people in CT and Boston.

So one of the downsides of the apartment complex I live in is the super crappy, tiny gym. No apartment complex that houses A&M students needs a good gym - the university has an awesome one. The only problem is non-students need to pay a hefty fee to use it. So I've been terrible about going to the gym since moving here. I've forced myself to go to ( Read more... )

Syler (my sewing machine, named such thanks to a certain person) stopped working yesterday. Getting it fix before Halloween is not an option and I have a costume half done, plus fabric I paid decent money for.

Good thing we need to buy an iron. Stitch Witchery/Heat Bond will be the short term solution. Still bummed about it though. :/
