The writing that is taking forever
It is somewhat absurd that I've been writing 'Charm' on and off for what must be months now. There're currently 2,362 words of it, which is already a bit longer than I originally intended. Aspects of Charm
I miss writing in third person. :( I've discovered that first person is really rather restrictive and annoying. Once these two fics ('Charm' & 'Cold') are done, I'm going back to third person. I've contemplated giving up and rewriting these in third person, but the initial idea was for first person and some nice parts would be lost. Plus, if I get ( Read more... ) -
Fic update
The dillydallying was not thwarted the other day. I ended up doing the usual thing of spending ages doing pointless research on minor unneeded details (the exact model of Tristan's car, for example, which I never did find out). Right. I am going to sit here and make myself write. I shall not move until I have a substantial amount of writing about Tristan done. -
Oh, many rude words!
I thought I'd managed to get Part II of 'Cold' into a reasonable state, but I've just discovered that Dr Allinson didn't set up shop next door to Skeldale House until near the end of series 1, which means it needs rewriting all over again! Aaaarrgghhh ( Read more... ) -
Rewrites and rewrites and more rewrites
I've been working on 'Cold' today and it is not going smoothly. It's a constant battle!
Why, oh why, did I decide to copy the books' style and write it in first person?! I've realised that I've never written fanfiction in first person before and it's being something of a challenge!
And why the need to drag 1930's medicine into it? complicating ( Read more... ) -
A little progress
I've been doing a lot of watching my shiny new All Creatures Great & Small DVDs, but not much in way of writing my fanfics. It's just...well...Peter Davison is so hot & pretty in them! ;)
However, along the way, a lot more content for 'Cold' has been scribbled down in note form and a couple of lines for 'Charm'. I've also gone back over and tweaked ( Read more... ) -

I've got the desire to write in many different fandoms at the moment. I just need to find enough time to grab hold of the ideas buzzing around my head and get the stories written.
