it would cause problems and lead to a never-ending debate. bringing the war into the discussion could lead to a number of unpredictable things, and especially since it's a live broadcast, they aren't going to take a chance of anything going wrong. of course, I'm just as interested as you are in their opinions, but I guess if I were in their position I wouldn't want to take any risks of offending anyone or anything like that.
