Geo-caching!

Today Kim and I went Geo-caching. If you don’t know what it that is, I suggest you go to Geocaching.com. Basically, it’s treasure hunting. You look up coordinates for hidden caches in your area then using maps, compasses, and or GPS trackers hunt down these caches of wacky items, take something, leave something, and sign it’s log book. Yeah, my buddy and I have hit a few of them: on Mount San Luis, Bishop's Peak, and a couple down here in SD. Apparently I'm hiking Mt. Whitney in a single day here in October, so I'm thinking of taking an airplane-size bottle of scotch to put in that one. That ought to make someone happy...

This kind of sounds like Keith's idea of treasure hunting, except without real treasure.

I value fun, hanging with Jason, GPS, exploring, etc. I am just not that fond of "stuff" especially most plastic stuff. I guess I could always be a do gooder and not take and only give stuff.
