the curse of having it all

what show you going to? i've decided to get a job, and the ironies continue: i'm going to be a bill collector. i'm telling myself i'll do it until i have $3000 and then quit and do something else. it is a horrible place and a horrible job but it's not in waukon and there's no piss test. five years ago did i ever think...nope, not going there. well, maybe for a second and say my only regret is thinking i was special. wah wah wah. things have been bleak. if you have the money/car stuff you should come up the weekend after next or whenever. the fourth of july was really magical and not bleak, fireflies and fireworks lighting up the valley and scared cattle and all the beautiful summer things. everything seems like a long time ago. i haven't heard anything more about torching the old house. it probably won't be for awhile as it's been a really dry summer up here, but i'll let you know when it's going down. yep. -c

i sympathize. i teeter on the edge of bleak. i will risk a visit ASAP; but: i now work Saturdays. for now. in fact. wait, what do i work? M, W, F, Sa. yes. this makes a longer trip harder. i could try to get somebody to cover my Sa. next weekend. i could trade my T. my car.. hesitates. Linc thinks it'll die soon, Dad hopes it's a muffler. i'll risk it, so long as it holds up for another weekish. i'd like a mini road trip. i'll call you about working out specifics

thank you! your well wishing apparently worked, because the show ended up being quite pleasant.
amen to the solitude, new music and intoxicants! marijuana's return to my life has been greeted with much new good tunes.
i don't know what to do about work. i need money, alas, but i just learned that this job is even more unstable than i suspected: should the manager be fired, apparently, Allmighty Corporate generally purges the entire store.

New music is always good, nothing like being alone with a new album and a good dose of your favourite intoxicants.
Have the best of times at this aformentioned show!
