It's kinda funny how some offhand comment a friend makes can send me into an existential pondering lasting the rest of the day.

I just realized that yesterday marked a year since I got Alia. The speed at which time flies amazes me sometimes. Going for a walk at midday probably wasn't one of my smartest ideas. Narrowly avoided getting hit by a car again (someone turning into a parking lot), WTF, am I invisible when I go for walks or something? :p

I should not have stopped at the book store today. So many books I want to read! So many in HARDCOVER! Gah!

Heh, just got woken up by Alia jumping on my chest, demanding to be petted. She then curled up and decided I would make a good spot to nap, it was adorable. Easily in the top three best ways I've ever been woken up.

The angry bastard in me is quiet, at least for today, and for the first time in a good long while I'm filled with hope for the future.

Didn't hurt that I got Lio to go along with Operation: Insufferably Cheerful Bastards at work today either. :p
