A new recovering benchmark:Bench Press: 255lbs.
Body Weight: 249lbs.
Before my accident, before I broke my arm, I was benching over 400lbs. Now I’m benching my own body weight.

I wasn't setting world records. Almost any one can pump iron and become stronger. I’m angry, disappointed, and frustrated. I feel I’ve been robbed of the strength I worked for.

I can relate. My recent re-breaking of my toe has me sitting on my ass with my dog staring at me, whining by the front door waiting for our walks. I am trying not to be grumpy too. :(
On the plus side, it pretty much hurts every day anyway, what with the bones being all wacky and having arthritis and whatnot, so I will be able to walk sooner than most people would. Hehehehe. Laughing at myself is the only way I get through the days sometimes.

It's difficult for me to laugh at myself. As much as I enjoy self-depreciating humour I’m just not very good at it.

ok lj ate my comment, so..
hurting, bad health, injuries stink, and you're gonna be grumpy sometimes.
I'm paying now for using body with the bones of a size 1 dress/102lb/size 2 ring female for playing football, basketball, lifting 350/365, and never warming up.
take it slow enough that your body's ready for it - you'll get there.
good luck on your recovery.
