For God's sakes, at least slow down! Don't hit the only person on the road who actually tried to help.
And I know that if I were a man I would stop more, but being a chick, you pretty much can't stop if you're alone. Cuz if you stop, you'd better be stopping for another solo-driving chick, and you won't know that unless you stop. So... there you go. So that's why I don't stop -- it's honestly not safe. Or I've been led to believe that, anyway.
I stop and push cars all the time. Often I'm the only one who does, but the people I help (often mothers with kids or retired folks) are usually very grateful, which is nice. There has been one or two times where I didn't even get a thank you. That pisses me off, but it won't stop me from helping the next person. And once or twice, I've had someone help me, too.
You're a good man too then. I think it helps (at least in my case) that I appear handy yet unimpossing.
Most of the people I've helped are decent. The exceptions have all been "baby boomers." That is to say not all baby-boomers are bad, it's just the bad ones I've met have been baby-boomers.

Usually it's someone who knows you that hurts you. Did I ever share with you my favourite self-defence link (here)?
