My nephew Cole arrived safely today from Afghanistan!!! I spoke with him by phone briefly. He's been to hell and back. He'll spend the next few months training the Special Forces at a nearby base, but at least he's back with home with his family

He has a torn rotary cup on the right shoulder -- not a good thing for anyone, but very serious for someone who does not walk. His wonderful parents, other family members, and friends will be with him throughout the entire ordeal, but I can't be there to take care of my love

Time does, indeed, fly. As do I. I'm headed to Myrtle Beach on May 25th -- my sixth trip since my first date with Michael in September. I'm raking up tons of flyer miles; too bad that they don't stretch as far as they used to. I should use them for a much-needed vacation. Hawai'i sounds nice -- or any cruise.
