Time does, indeed, fly. As do I. I'm headed to Myrtle Beach on May 25th -- my sixth trip since my first date with Michael in September. I'm raking up tons of flyer miles; too bad that they don't stretch as far as they used to. I should use them for a much-needed vacation. Hawai'i sounds nice -- or any cruise. One point per mile flown. Save 'em up and you can redeem them for tickets. Used to be that you could get a free domestic flight for 25,000 miles (and occasionally still can); now it's typically 50,000. Some credit cards join Delta and other airlines so that every dollar spent on the partnering credit card equals a point.

People who travel a lot in their jobs end up with enough points sometimes to take their families on a nice vacation -- a decent perk.

My doctor told me that his wife charges everything they need -- especially groceries -- on the card and gets enough points to pay for the family's vacation airfare.

I've saved up about 35,000 on American Express, and the rest from flying back East, which gives me 6,000 points per trip. It's worth it; just not as good as it used to be. Also, there are blackout dates, so it's generally impossible to get a free ticket during any holiday.

Especially Michael's ex. Nearly every piece of "art" on the walls was something she bought at those home-decorating parties. The good news is that stuff will likely sell well on eBay.
